In the glass

It is a deep ruby. There is a faint spritz, and the core is packed right from the nose. A briny, fermented-radish note is there, but it stays subtle. As time went on, both the acidity and that fermented-radish note grew stronger. On the palate the core is packed as well. It is a very delicate and good wine.

Producer

The producer, Yann Durieux, was born into a grape-growing family on the outskirts of Nuits-Saint-Georges. His godfather and mentor is Frédéric Roch. He started out at Clos des Vignes du Maynes and worked for a long time at the biodynamic domaine Prieuré Roch before going independent.

Site

The wine comes from Les Dames Huguettes in Nuits-Saint-Georges, in the Côte de Nuits part of the Côte d'Or, Bourgogne.

Vinification

Across the domaine, fermentation takes place in tank with native yeasts, and nothing is added or removed in the cellar.
