Privacy
This site collects nothing about its visitors.
What is not here
- No web analytics. The pages carry no measurement code, so no individual visitor's referrer, time on page or path through the site is recorded.
- No cookies of any kind. That is why there is no consent banner.
- No advertising or tracking tags, pixels or social widgets.
- No login, sign-up, comments or contact form. There is nowhere to type anything in.
- Nothing loads from a third-party server. No web fonts, icons or scripts are fetched from elsewhere; the text uses fonts already on your device. Opening a page sends requests only to this site (www.shuttersips.com) and to img.shuttersips.com, which serves the photographs. Both are run by the same operator on the same hosting provider (Cloudflare).
What remains
The site is served from the servers of a hosting provider (Cloudflare). As is inherent to the web, requests carry an IP address and similar data, and the hosting provider may process them to deliver the service, keep it secure and prevent abuse. From those records the provider shows the operator site-wide totals, such as request counts, an approximate number of visitors and requests by country, and those totals are all the operator sees (no individual IP addresses or per-visitor records). The operator does not use those records to identify individual visitors. The hosting provider's own policies govern its processing.
About the published photographs
- Before publication, all metadata embedded in the file (EXIF, XMP, IPTC and ICC), including the camera, the capture time and GPS coordinates, is removed, and only that stripped copy is uploaded.
- Image URLs contain no date, time, place or wine name. They are values computed from the file contents and reveal nothing by themselves.
- In the text, the names of people the author drank with and of the venues visited are removed.
Contact
If you believe you are identifiable in a photograph or in the text, please let us know via Contact. It will be checked and taken down promptly. Personal details in such a request are used only to handle that request and are not kept.
