Jérôme Arnoux Subtil 2022
A delicate, fruity Poulsard from the Jura with red cherry, grapefruit and a cool, minty edge. It smelled and tasted like a sour, freshly made radish pickle.

In the glass
It was delicate and fruity, with red cherry and grapefruit. The acidity was balanced. There was a cooling sensation, not from alcohol but the freshness of mint. On the palate there was nothing remarkable.
Producer
The wine comes from Le Cellier des Tiercelines in Arbois. Jérôme Arnoux runs the house and selects grapes from Jura terroirs to make his own cuvées. He was born in Montigny-les-Arsures, a village known for the local Trousseau grape, and is self-taught: from the age of 17 he spent more than twenty years working the vines and cellars of different domaines in Arbois.
Site
The grapes come mainly from vineyards the domaine farms in AOC Arbois and Côtes du Jura. This cuvée comes from clay soil. In the domaine's plots the middle of each row is grassed and mowed, which builds life in the ground, prevents gullying and keeps yields around 35 hl/ha.
Vinification
This wine is aged 10 months in tank. For all its cuvées, the domaine ferments only with indigenous yeasts, does not fine, filters very little and uses a minimum of sulfur.
