Albino Rocca Barbaresco Montersino 2020
This Nebbiolo from Barbaresco came across as sweet and very light. In the end it showed the typical character of Barbaresco.

Producer
The wine comes from Albino Rocca, a family winery now in its fourth generation of growing grapes.
Site
The grapes come from the Montersino parcel in San Rocco Seno d'Elvio (Alba), in the Barbaresco area of Piemonte, Italy. It is made from 100% Nebbiolo.
Vinification
The fruit from the Montersino parcel is vinified on its own. The wine is then aged for about 20 months in large oak casks (botte), followed by a few months in bottle.
In the glass
It was sweet and very light. The nose pointed to Italy. I weighed several possibilities, but in the end it showed the typical character of Barbaresco.
